A major rockfall occurred at the entrance to Moûtiers on February 1, severely disrupting traffic to La Tarentaise.

The work required to secure the area and restore normal traffic flow will take several days.

This weekend marks the first major “chassé-croisé” of the season, and heavy traffic is expected on the outskirts of Albertville due to the influx of holidaymakers.

Access to Les Saisies via Albertville will remain possible, but will quickly become saturated with traffic jams. It is therefore essential to use alternative routes via Sallanches or Faverges, even if this means taking a detour.

Prepare your visit

Tips for (good) driving on snow-covered roads
Special equipment is now compulsory in mountainous areas. You must therefore carry metal or textile snow chains in your vehicle, or be equipped with 4 winter tires.
Chains or socks must be fitted to the drive wheels.

    TGV Paris – Albertville: approx. 3h40

    A coach service connects the main trains at Albertville station (journey time: approx. 1h30).
    Please note: online booking via lessaisies-express.com strongly recommended.

    Attention
    There is no shuttle service between Sallanches SNCF station and Les Saisies resort.
    If you decide to arrive in Sallanches anyway, you’ll need to take a cab or rent a car to reach our resort.
