Festival Région des Lumières à Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

The show retraces moments in the history of the town and its guides, highlighting the exceptional environment of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc and the mythical mountains that surround it. The projection begins with an immersion in ice and snow, the sound of footsteps and ice-axe blows, projecting us into a clockwork mechanism and taking us back in time. Then the grandiose mountain landscapes take over the façades.
The typical elements of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc flash before our eyes: the interior of a chalet whose walls are covered with photos of famous mountaineers, ropes, the jazz festival, gondolas and the Montenvers little train...
The aim of the Festival Région des Lumières is to create a "cultural and historical itinerary" for the general public, in which heritage and/or natural sites are illuminated to illustrate the region's history.
