Kandahar - Alpine Skiing World Cup

All this at the same time as the Kandahar and its legendary alpine circuit run, the "Verte des Houches", will be returning to its two historic disciplines: downhill and slalom. So not 2 but 3 men's World Cups will be held in the Les Houches - Saint Gervais ski area! The world's best skiers, both downhillers and technicians, will compete in two downhill events, on February 2 & 3, and on February 4 in the slalom which recently saw the triumph of Clément Noël! It promises to be a great long weekend for thousands of downhill fans, who will be able to enjoy the spectacle of downhill skiing on a slope that has already hosted world championships in 1937 and 1962, and whose last speed race was held in 2016. A weekend where the whole valley will be celebrating both the history of this centenary and the champions of today.

You are about to attend an international event with 20,000 spectators. To ensure the best possible experience, please take into account travel time (public transport or shuttle bus from parking lots), waiting time for screening and access to the competition site when calculating your arrival time. The first run is scheduled for 9.30 am. If you are coming by public transport (train or bus), we recommend that you arrive on site from 8.00am and no later than 8.30am. Public transport is very busy on the day of the event, so plan to leave earlier than for a normal journey. If you are coming by car, we recommend that you arrive at the organization's parking lots from 07:00 and by 08:30 at the latest.
