Come and participate in a friendly moment to act for the preservation of our territory in a concrete way. A collective, positive and constructive educational action! On registration in advance.
The mountain is a preserved territory, yet every year, tons of wild waste are collected. Wild mountain pollution has an impact on the planet's aquatic ecosystems and biodiversity.

In 2022, the results of collections for the “Zero waste mountain” program amounted to 11.5T for around 50 collections organized.

This action allows everyone to share a convivial moment with the actors of the station for a beautiful objective: to prepare the summer season for a mountain without waste and healthier!

IN THE PROGRAM

-9am: Welcome coffee on Place Berthod
-9:30 a.m.: Departure for waste collection
-11:30 a.m.: End of collection
-11:30 a.m. > 12:30 p.m.: characterization* of waste (sorting, weighing)
-12:30 p.m.: Meal offered to all participants

THE CARACTERISATION*

This step makes it possible to identify the different types of waste found on the slopes and on the snow fronts and then to determine their origin. It is therefore a detailed analysis of the waste collected: total weight, weight by type (plastic, wood, textile, cardboard, metal, glass, rubber, others).

Objective: to establish a precise balance sheet to work on an action plan to reduce waste at source.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Remember to take a small backpack with water as well as thick gloves such as gardening gloves and shopping bags.

We also advise you to bring hiking shoes and adapt to the D-Day weather conditions (cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, jacket, etc.).

Meal prepared on the basis of a convivial barbecue (not exhaustive).

All minors must be accompanied by a parent and remain under their responsibility.
