Merlet Wildlife park leisure Les Houches

Come and watch the mountain animals roam freely in this animal park in a magical setting, at an altitude of 1500m, just opposite Mont Blanc.

An intimate hike in a small group of 8 people, supervised by an Intermediate Mountain Leader, to allow you to discover Merlet from behind the scenes, to appreciate at best the calm of the great snowy spaces and to approach the animals in the best conditions... After putting on your snowshoes, the leader guides you through the forest to a secondary entrance of the park. Inside, you will benefit from a privileged proximity with the animals and from all the explanations on the mountain fauna in an exceptional setting. You are as if alone in the world facing the immensity of the Mont-Blanc range and if the visibility allows it, you will be entitled to a magnificent sunset... a rare moment, simply magical!

Snowshoeing program

- Meeting point at 1pm at the train station of Les Houches
- Then a short drive with your own vehicle to Coupeau
- 3 hours of hiking with many stops (photo break, explanations...),
200 m of positive difference in altitude in total
- Discovery of the animals of the park and the landscape of the Mont-Blanc chain
- Return around 5pm

38€ /adult, 25€ /child up to 12 years old (children are accepted from 8 years old only). The equipment (snowshoes + sticks) is included in this price.

Our advice: Bring waterproof hiking boots, warm clothes, a water bottle and a snack and don't forget your camera! This outing requires a good physical condition, it is advised to know how to walk with snowshoes (the access to the park can be more or less long according to the snow conditions).

Opening hours on Tuesday and Thursday between 1 pm and 5 pm.
Only open for the guided snowshoe walk. Booking required with the guide: 06 78 50 03 96, at latest the evening before 5pm.

Opening hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 10 am and 6 pm.
Closed on Monday.

Opening hours daily between 9.30 am and 7.30 pm.
Due to the high number of visitors to the site, reservations are MANDATORY on www.parcdemerlet.com.

Opening hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 10 am and 6 pm.
Closed on Monday.
